<![endif]-->
It is high time we should have been mugging up the spectrum series for our final examinations. But, lately my friends are interested in another spectrum. No, they don’t care a damn about the visible spectrum. They were discussing about the corruption involved around the 2G spectrum allocation. My once-a-blue moon surfing of the site Wall Street Journal and my greatest source of information, my facebook updates gave me some what idea of what happened. The scam gave tough time to media counting the number of zeros involved (We Indians are proud about zero aren’t we?)

Few of my friend’s updates are so hostile that A. Raja would voluntarily kill himself before entering any probe. I found one thing in common among them. They all are NRIs. I don’t know if the flame of patriotism kindles when you are away from a nation, trying to get a green card. One particular guy, who was on my friend’s friend list was so furious that he wanted all the Reliance companies to be fucked as he found out that Reliance was one of the core companies involved in 2G spectrum scandal. Well, let his wish be granted. Let us all fuck Reliance. Then what?

One Mr. Prasnth Agarwal of WSJ-India wrote: “With that kind of money we could have

–Food for every destitute Indian for the next decade. Not this year, not next year, but for the next 10 years.

–Funding of the flagship employment program for India’s marginalized for the next five years. The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme provides any Indian with employment for 100 days at a wage rate of 100 rupees.

–Primary schooling for every Indian girl for the next three years.

–Ten squadrons of new aircraft, an aircraft carrier group, and a couple hundred tanks. Take that, China.

–The reduction in every Indian’s tax rate by 15% for the next year, or the reduction of India’s outstanding debt by 10%.”

Well said Sir! Now that we looked at the problem, where was the solution? We can discuss how these culprits like Raja, Kalmadi, Chavan should be punished. But does that lead us anywhere? Will that stop the politicians plundering us? Why are we talking about the politicians? We do everything in our hands to bypass law, avoid paying nickels and dimes to the Income Tax Dept. Are you sure you are corruption free? Are you 100% sure your dad is? We all have the latent potential of being corrupt. They had their chance and we still haven’t had ours.

If you check out any scam, they will just deny all the allegations. Even if there is a probe, it will get up scapegoats like kalmadi and A.Raja. Are these two guys solely responsible for the entire scam? I don’t think so. The people here really don’t care. The people who care are away, standing in a Queue in an American embassy in your vicinity.

P.s: There are a trillion mistakes in here. But the point I wanted to say is... Read and forget. Don't feel it. If you don't agree with me, let it be, I don't even feel sorry for you.

   Wah! Taj!!!
Every time I log into any of Orkut communities I moderate, I find them flooded with spam. “Earn Money by a click!”, “I am 21 and am earning 80K per month”, weird Portuguese ads by some weird Brazilian bots! Adding fuel to fire, now-a-days I find the community being flooded by the regular patrons saying “If you are a true Indian vote for Tajmahal”, “Tajmahal needs your help”. My foot! Even I find it on the hoardings, TV news channels. Every one is requesting to vote. So, There I eneterd www.new7wonders.com. Hmmm I have to give a second thought about it. Why in the hell will UNESCO conduct a poll for “Seven Wonders”? They sure know that regionalism will win any day in polls. After all they are educational counsel members.
“Seven wonders of the world” are to be declared by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The Convention concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, adopted in1972, was based on the premise that certain places are of outstanding universal value and as such form part of the common heritage of humanity. While fully respecting national sovereignty, and without prejudice to property rights provided by national legislation, the States Parties to the Convention recognizes that protecting World Heritage is the duty of the international community as a whole. The World Heritage List currently includes over 800 natural and cultural sites, from India’s Taj Mahal to Mali’s ancient city of Timbuktu and such natural wonders as the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. The World Heritage Centre is the permanent secretariat of the Convention.
http://whc.unesco.org

When it’s clear that UNESCO, solely has the rights to decide with new wonders then who is this www.New7wonders.com? Did you ever venture to check their “about us” in the site? It is a foundation to campaign. That’s the all. If they are and educational counsel from where do the words “Unique business benefits are available with New7Wonders - together we can make marketing and commercial history!” fit in? New7wonders s campaign was launched in 2000 as a private initiative by Bernard Weber, the idea being to encourage citizens around the world to select seven new wonders of the world by popular vote.

Although UNESCO was invited to support this project on several occasions, the Organization decided not to collaborate with Mr. Weber. It should be clear by this time now stop romping around boasting your loyalty towards you nation. It’s high time to think sensibly

References:
http://portal.unesco.org/en/ev.php-URL_ID=38482&URL_DO=DO_TOPIC&URL_SECTION=201.html
http://unesdoc.unesco.org/images/0014/001473/147330e.pdf (page no.17)
http://www.new7wonders.com/index.php?id=5

   Heights of my Stupidity!

Dated on 27th March 2007( Sri Rama Navami)

An idle brain is a devil's workshop. I proved it today! after lazing all day, I woke up by 3:00 pm, threw books before me for a while...mebbe 10 mins then I had had enough with those. I called sunil and asked " Boss! am planning to go out and click. Will you accompany me?". Sunil replied "Hmmm I guess I cant make it today for that Dad is visiting me". I told him that was okay and I started with my gear. I had two options in my mind either to click a 360 degrees panorama of Vijayawada from the top of a hill or goto city outskirts and capture some night shots! Meanwhile another sane friend of mine called. When I told her the options she said Sunset from the top of hill would be a good choice it was 5 by then . I was stupid enough to follow that.
After getting lost in the streets surrounding the Gunadala hill and retracing back to Eluru road, I drove further to the Chuttu kunta hill, the one near BSNL head quarters. There were steps initially via the slum I climbed those stairs when the steps ended I was panting! Still I were to trek the untamed part. Breathing hard, I stepped further. Through those slippery rocks I took another 10 feet! Then i was dehydrated! I checked my bag for the bottle. The F word slipped out of my mouth for that I was enough stupid to plan a trek when light was failing and worse I didn't carry water/carbonated drink. Cursing Sujana Rao for suggesting me trek and myself for following that I stepped further sitting on the rocks for every 3-5 steps I took. The rocks were slippery. Incidents of land slides flashed through my brain.
The peak was 40 feet away 'now'! pushing my brain and body hard I stepped further but its getting worse with every step. F****ing inspirational sentences were flashing through my brain. The words I came too far to take my step back were echoing in my ears. I stopped for every 3 steps, Finally it was only 20 steps between me and the peak. All of a sudden some thing flashed into my brain. "What if there are some crawlers. in these rocks or bushes?". I can stand before a T20 tank and talk steadily, but I cant help myself from running even if I encounter a non-venomous snake! The Angel on my right side turned into an Army Major and was shouting " You God Damn private marine! you can do it. Its hardly 20 feet now! go get it! Its not about trekking a hill its about testing your will power! You have two choices left 1. Quit and you'll compromise throughout your life. 2. Push it further you'll be your hero for the rest of your life".
I was out of breath. The thought of encountering snakes drove me crazy, mean while the light was fading off. If there are no steps on the other side I would be properly fucked! I started trekking down. Then thoughts that flashed were... "Arey yaar kyaa hai ki? after all its a wise decision to retreat when things are not favoring you! look at yourself. You have dehydrated it may be only 20 steps ahead look at the cross on the top of the hill (There's a Jesus Christ's cross on the peak). Salah! either ways if you continue you'll reach God. It's okay even though this is your Lakshya, you are no Hrithik roshan and you wont get a Preeti Zinta. Retreat for now. Be wise act like Winston Churchill". while trekking down I faced hell I slipped for few feet. I thought That was the end. Fortunately Grip retained to my shoes. I could barely stand. I was trembling.
Some how I made till steps. Still I couldn't stand. A female over there offered me water. I didn't care whether they were pure. I emptied the tumbler. she said "this is not the way to the peak there are steps to the peak from the other side". So, I missed a better way down and my mission just by 20 feet but thats okay if I continued climbing who knows I might have slipped or met a crawling creature. Some Day I'll reach that peak ( but will I? :p) thats what I told myself while stepping down, still sitting for every 5 steps I climbed down regretting. I was regretting neither for my unaccomplished mission nor for letting such stupid idea enter my brain. The sole thing is...."Damn! Sunil missed this Salah! what would have been his face when he reached the way middle". With that evil grin on my face I kick started my bike and drove back! So my heights of stupidity is 20 feet (Hypotenuse) below from the peak of chuttu kunta hill can some one tell me the height now?

for the rest of pictures check http://www.flickr.com/photos/thefifthwarrior/

                                                          AIM WIDE!!!!!!

Fix ur target! people will be yelling it all the time. Especially dad says "A human will have a gial n he'll work hard to acheive it". Hard work won't hurt, but why to take risk?? Besides Forest Gump's momma said "Life is like a chocloat box U'll never know what U'll get!"
In my childhood I always dreamt of becoming a captain of a ship. Later I realised its a tough job. Actually, I heard " A captain havtta reach the ocean bed along with his vessel, He finds honour in it( Fuck honour! who cares it when he is no more). Atleast he is the last person to leave the vessel. Damn! I dont want such kinda job. So, I decided I'll join in NAVY as a sailor. Here comes the hindi soap i.e., Dad yelled , mom cried blah blah blah... She even hid mah officer's cadre second round selections hall ticket. There ended my chance of gettin into NAVY after mah +2. Now I thank mah mom for doin so!
So,I decided once again to enter NAVY as a Marine Engineer. (Un)fortunately there are only 10 seats in Andhra University and I've missed the la seat with a very minor rank difference. At that momentI felt......"LOOSER!!!!". Now???? naaah! my dad wished me to join in ECE cos his friends wished so.Intro to mah dad's frens???? Okay! meet the hardcore aquacultarists, who'll be busy bee's all the day and when the sun sets they'll gather at a friend's shop & there they start healing the world!( A typical town R.K Narayan portraits!!)
"If its not mechanical better u go n occupy my seat!" That's the very dialogue I said to my dad! Finally I ended up in Mech. I opted mech cos I can choose any stream for P.G( at that time I was dreamin abt Marine Engg). After a breif encounter with fluid mechanics I changed my decision once again. I'll be an Automotive Engineer After getting raped by ThermoDynamics, getting detained by lack of attendance & joining in the CADD courses I discovered the design engineer in me!( I just cant resist boasting self for being Damn fast at designing n drafting!)
"Photographer????" shocked was my dad when I expressed my self once again to my dad. Because for him and his folks Photography is nothing more than the RK photo studio round the corner of the street. Still he agreed and asked "For the hell's sake atleast is this final??". After meeting Geeks n Gods of computers, I met a computer enthusiast in me, planning his P.G in computers.
Confused is a person in first love and a student in the sem starting. For that both of'em thinks they are sincere. A lover thinks he cant live without her and she is the eternity! and a student plans a never executing schedule. He never even claimed for the lime light! Every blog I had gone through was written about their love, their friends, their crushes and their ambitions. Ahead of these there is a person we all should thank for giving us this day! for getting us into this world! for providing us every thing we need!. Indeed none of your friend may say " I'll be there for you!" when you are in real need. You, can completely rely on him. He'll be there to pat ur shoulder at any time! He is pappa the great!
As a hobbledehoy I never paid much attention or cared much about my dad. I used to think that he detests me that's why he threw me into the hostel right from the childhood, while my sister enjoying the warmth of my dad's ambience. I used to be yellow eyed at her when ever she raised about the topic" Dad n I..............". I used to explain myself afterall females are dad's dolls and males are of mom's. Well, let me familiarize my dad to u people! He is a typical country man from west godavari district! though denounced his education at the graduation level itself(B.Sc). He made a fortune on the aquaculture( cultivating fish n prawns). Spending his evenings with his friends chatting about all the crap and discussing about the movies they ought to see! and boasting about us ( He always says me " Education itself is not the whole. Yet it would be great if u make some outstanding performance among my friends children"). The one who thinks children settling in some foreign country as an asset. That's why my GRE!
On a parent's visting day in my 6th class he came to me n found a red hand impression on my back( I got it for some mischeif by my warden!). He went straight to the warden and warned him! That day I was the hero to my friends as we all hate our warden. My dad always lectures me( that's what we call advising right?) on the same topic " I don't care a shit for ur academics if you really cant study leave'em that's not at all a problem we have lots of other feilds and abaundant resources but I need not hear a person complaining about you!". Indeed, he heard one from my intermediate college vice-principal(I'll write about it in another post!). That day he almost broke into tears. How can I excuse myself for that day? he was hurt but didn't utter a word.
Well i have to point out the pain my dad took when I got detained last year. At that time he met with an accident that left bruises all over his feet. I do remember he was even unable to wear his sandals at that time. Doctor recomended him bed rest. When I called him up from my college and said "Dad! I got detained". He just replied" Don't worry about it I'll handle the situation!". He went to my H.O.D, my principal and even met technical education minister for getting me promotted. All at the time when he was recomended for bed rest! Though his sandals made his bruises worse he never cared about them he kept on all his trails and finally found that I cant be promotted all because I 've responded after every thing is completed i.e., after my name was in the detention list of my college notice board. Even then he didn't scold me!. He didn't even ask me why I was in the shortage of attendance. all he asked me was " What are you planning to do now?"
I donno whether I can make impression over other people's heart but I am pretty sure I am the permanent resident of my sweet country side man's heart!

I AM SORRY!!!!!

Life is a pile of moments. Some, we'll love to the zenith n some we'll leer even to think! The classroom La'bench is always as the center of creativity and its also a cozy place to dig the past."The past, present and future have only good for u" thats what BHAGAVADGEETA preached right? If it is so, I am gonna pick an argument with Mr.Vyas or whoever wrote that crap! because there are loads of memories ringing in my head. The memories,I remorse! I'll be an appalled stripling when a memory which has the words "I AM SORRY!!!" engrafted in it. Wohaaaa! theese set of words are the most grievous words in the entire terminology I guess. It starts from a friend droping a glass of fruit punch on your favorite T-shirt to a stranger hitting hard from behind mistaking you to his friend. In both the cases they'll come out with an angel smile, lashing their eye lids n saying "I AM SORRY!!!". Is that all? I don't know about you saint potters but I always wanted to pay back in the same notes. Infact I can't do that. Afterall it's an accident and moreover he apologized. There starts the problem.Bohooooooo! why do people apologize? Do they think it'll clean my Tee with Ariel? or it will just erase the five fingered impression on my back ,which he gave me recently? I want to bark back!!!!! Please, please I beg you people to never use the set of words "I AM SORRY!!!" Here are few of my all time favourite "SORRIES".The first will be from my lover.....my H.O.D. It started by my dad receiving a mail from the Head Of the Department of his son's institute reporting his obnoxious deportment towards a female. Knock! knock!! Here goes my door waking me from my quietus(I am staying in a room and different city 154 km frm my dad's place!). I opened the door with the bed sheet still lying on me. I was shocked to see my dad errrr...It would be better if I say that I haven't recognised him the instant I saw him as his face was flushed and was in dark red n fumes were rushin outta his ears.Adding to the fuel to the fire he found me in the wrong place at wrong time it was afternoon 12:15 pm at that time I was supposed to be banging my head to the class bench listening to the stupid Thermodynamics lecturer.Wow! I haven't even dreamt that my dad knows such offensive terms. He didnt even told me why he was scolding he kept going on and on. He took a break and I was that stupid enough to ask him why he was scolding me .Here goes another fresh round. Thank God I am not the type who takes every thing to heart. If I had, I would have comitted suicide there itself! After the laborious errr... enlightening lecture he gave me few minutes.... not to explain but to get ready. Few moments later I was shown before my H.O.D. He strangled at the sight of my dad. He said "What a surprise Mr.Rao! I was just about to mail you n you are here in person".(What the fuck is that surprise????)he continued " I am sorry! Mr.Rao we have posted the letter to a wrong person. The culprit have shared the same name of your son so we have mailed to you". Then I came to realize that why my father was scolding me like the hell. One of my classmate who happens to share my name had done some shit n the H.O.D mailed it to my dad! Fucker! that H.O.D was an enigma to me always! Later on my way to vijayawada my dad said "I am sorry!!!" .I wanted to shout "Please dont say so I want to bite you!!!!!!!!!". Like wise there are many incidents in my life n your's tooo. I hope I've bored u enough.... So,"I AM SORRY!!!".

LIFE IS NOT FAIR!!!!!

I wonder y I'll always end up in a major mess!.Y'day I got a call frm my head of department askin me to meet him imdtly. When I was shown up he sprung on his feet n barked at me:((.All this because of shortage of attendance again.I hate my college indeed I hate any place where rules are such stringent! I too, at times, have felt a great hate for those that have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they do. But hate wears you down, and does not hurt your enemy. It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times."

He continued, "It is as if there are two wolves inside me; one is good and does no harm.
